Durga Pujo is much more than a festival — it is a feeling that returns every autumn and brings people together. From the sound of the dhaak and the smell of shiuli flowers to evenings spent pandal-hopping with friends and family, every part of Sharodotsav carries a story.
Each puja has its own character: some preserve traditions passed down through generations, while others push the boundaries of art, creativity, technology and storytelling. The pandals become temporary works of art, the idols reflect the skill of artisans, and the streets come alive with culture, celebration and community.
Sharod Samikkha was born from this diversity. It is our way of looking beyond the crowds and the spectacle to observe, appreciate and document what makes each puja unique — from its creative vision and craftsmanship to its heritage, sustainability and accessibility. Through Sharod Samikkha, we hope to celebrate the many different ways in which Durga Pujo continues to evolve, while keeping the spirit of Sharodotsav at its heart.
